Property Studies Education Unit
Department of Marketing Logistics & Property
Faculty of Business


The Property Studies Education at RMIT was first formed in November 1990. It is supported by the Property Group Staff within the Department of Marketing, Logistics and Property.
The Unit is the vehicle for all the Property Group's activities other than the undergraduate and graduate accredited programs and is responsible, inter alia, for :

  • - provision of workshops, seminars and in-house training
  • - publication of textbooks and other materials
  • - organisation of conferences and co-ordiantion of staff attendance
  • - submissions to government and private organisation
  • - co-ordination of local, interstate and international visitors
  • - interpreter service
  • - co-ordination of research activities
  • - carrying out surveys
  • - resource centre and library

  • All Property Group Staff support the activities of the Unit and have specialist skills across many discipline areas:

  • - Feasibility studies
  • - Quantitative analysis
  • - Property valuation
  • - Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal
  • - Computer applications
  • - Financial evaluation and investment analysis
  • - Real estate marketing and management
  • - Financial and Econometric Modelling
  • - Management and leadership training
  • - Market and economic analysis
  • - Internet Training and Development of HomePages on the Web
  • Staff are available for research, consultancy and training
