
By Current Affairs Reporter Frontline journalist, Mr Mike Moore, revealed last night the intricate plot devised by the State Govermnent, Save Albert .Park Group, and Grand Prix Corporation to keep the Property Ball in Victoria. The amazing allegations were made following several months of investigation by Frontline's Mr Martin DiStasio. It is alleged the various groups: government, private and community, joined forces to prevent the 1997 Property Ball from becoming part of the AFL's "Footy Finals Celebrations" or disappearing interstate. An elderly 'Save Albert Park' protester is quoted as saying, "I've been sitting here for, ooh, about 951 days, counting each day and waiting for the Ball to come to the Park, wondering whether the race was going to prove to be enough of a decoy. "The tender process was tough, and pretending to be engaged in a bun fight against the Grand Prix to generate publicity proved to be successful in achieving our ultimate aim."
